Eversince last February, losing around $18 for every PS3 sold on the market, Sony.. why?. For a whole 3 and a half years after the release date of the console in 2006 of November, it seems that a new part will bring profit in on each system.
A cost-less method, a cooler 40-nanometer RSX GPU chip for the reduced amount in production of PS3′s. Also, even better this computer chip will need less overall power to run, around 15 percent, which is very good on your wallet. All PS3 consoles will be updated with these chipsets and will be available in stores once they are manufactured.
As for the Xbox 360, Microsoft went through a very similar refresh, reducing the size of the GPU and making a more stable console from the previous consoles in the past 5 years. But there is more to be officially announced despite the rumor of a possible slim-360 version of the original Xbox 360.
