The iMac’s within Apple’s retail store displays for kids has been recently replaced with iPads apparently. It was first noticed by iMore, as this new switch is a very clear sign of the decision that the company is making for a new direction in marketing, in regards to their younger customer base aswell.
The kid’s table has always been a part of the Apple Retail Store ever since their main locations were opened up just over ten years ago. The normal tables in the first place had the CRT-based iMacs that were surrounded by black balls from the Baleri Italia company for these kids to sit on while using the computers. As being quite normal for Apple, they spare no expenses when it comes down to their retail stores, these chairs actually cost more than $500 more apparently.
Over the past few years, as the iMac’s have been updated quite frequently, the machines have been replaced with even newer models obviously though this is the first time ever that a product instead of a Mac has been shown.
