It was earlier this week that we said that Apple was preparing to release the grand opening plans for their newest and massive Grand Central Terminal retail store today, these rumors suggested that Apple would be opening the store this comingr Friday or of course “shortly thereafter”.
It has been reported by Mashable, that the construction staff workers at this site are indicating that a high amount of work is remaining still for their work to be done and that the store will not be opening any time soon for now.
Although many anticipated that Apple would open its Grand Central Terminal store in New York City before Black Friday, construction workers at the location confirmed on Tuesday that it won’t be ready in time. The store, opening in the highly-trafficked commuter terminal, will be Apple’s largest retail venue.
“It won’t be any time too soon,” a construction worker at the site told Mashable. “We still have a lot to do, so my guess is that it will be ready in December.”
Reports earlier made were targetting a middle of November grand opening though the project was rushed by Apple to try and be open at the start of the busy holiday shopping season respectively, though it is appearing that the company will unable to meet that goal. It was pursued by Apple in a agressive manor, for the four-month buildout schedule that was made possible by the fact that the most major modifications to the building’s structure would be made possible only by the fact that the most major modifications to the structure of the building are not yet permitted, though it seems that there is still some work to be done still, unfortunately.
