Alright, so you tried and tried again. So did I. I wanted to simply put my blog posts onto the official Facebook Fan Page of my blog. This post, was automatically put onto The Blog Of Tech’s, Facebook Fan page. How did I do it?. Well I am going to show you the most simple way of doing it in this post. It’s seriously painless, if you know how to install a WordPress plugin or drive a car it will be easy for you.
Log into your WordPress settings by obviously typing in your domain in your browser while adding /wp-admin at the end of the address.
Hopefully you were successful in logging in, now move your cursor down to Plugins, and click on “Add New”.
You will want to search for “WP Email-to-Facebook” and then you’ll want to click on “Install”.
Then, after it installs then you’ll want to click “Activate Plugin”.
You will now see the “WP Email-to-Facebook” settings pane when you move your cursor over Settings in your WordPress settings page. So click it, and let’s get started.
Leave your “WP Email-to-facebook” page open and open a new tab and go to your Facebook Fan Page’s Mobile page. You do this by going to “Manage” on the main fan page then clicking on the bottom pane called “Edit Page”. That will allow you to see this list of settings, and that’s where you go to Mobile and you will see your “Mobile Email” for your fan page, which you will need to copy and paste it in the next step.
Now go back to your “WP Email-to-facebook” settings and you will see the categories in your blog. If you just started your blog and you have barely any categories, you will have to let your blog grow a bit or if you know what your categories will be, simply create them and come back to this page, and paste the Mobile Email from your blog’s Facebook Fan Page into the spaces there and then click on “Update Options. This was alot easier than the other way of getting my WordPress posts to my Facebook Fan Page. It wouldnt work again like it did for one of my blogs I set up a few months ago, so I simply searched for a newer method of doing it and found this one. It works like a charm.
And for that time that you need to build your categories for your posts, simply put your blog posts URL’s into the Status Updates for the blog’s Facebook Fan Page while you are logged in as the Admin, then your posts will show up sooner though you have to do it manually everytime you make a new post. There are other ways of publishing your WordPress posts to Facebook without having to make categories though, but I found this method easier than the rest.
